Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data Varless Football collects when you use this website, why, and the rights you have under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
Who we are
Varless Football is run by Stat Network Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16061255). We are the controller of the personal data described here. You can contact us about anything in this policy at info@varlessfootball.com.
The short version
You don't need an account to use Varless Football, and we don't ask for your name or payment details. We don't use cookies for analytics, advertising or tracking on this site, and we never sell personal data.
What we collect and why
Technical information our host records. Our website is hosted by Vercel Inc. Like any website, each visit sends information such as your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for and the time. Vercel uses this to deliver the site and to protect it against abuse and attacks, and keeps it only for a short period. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website.
Visitor statistics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits, see which pages are popular and which bookmaker links are clicked. It does not use cookies or store anything on your device. Visits are counted using a short-lived, one-way code made from technical details of your request, which is discarded within 24 hours, so we can't identify you or follow you across other websites. We only see totals. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used so we can improve it.
Your odds-format choice. If you switch between fractional and decimal odds, your browser remembers that choice in its local storage on your own device. It is never sent to us, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings. Because it only stores something you've asked for, it doesn't need consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
If you email us. We'll use your email address and whatever you tell us to reply, and keep the correspondence for as long as we need it to deal with your query (normally no more than 2 years). Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to you.
Links to bookmakers
Many links on this site go to bookmakers, and some are affiliate links. An affiliate link includes a reference that tells the bookmaker you came from Varless Football, so that we can be paid a commission if you sign up. Once you leave our site, the bookmaker (and any affiliate network it uses) is responsible for your data, including any cookies it sets, under its own privacy policy. Bookmakers report sign-ups and activity to us in summary form only. We do not receive your name, contact details or betting history.
Who we share data with
We only share data with the service providers that make the site work, as described above: Vercel (hosting and visitor statistics). We don't sell, rent or trade personal data, and we'll only disclose it to anyone else if the law requires it.
International transfers
Our service providers may process data in the United States. Where that happens, it is protected by approved safeguards, such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.
Under 18s
Varless Football is for adults aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to data portability. To use any of these rights, email info@varlessfootball.com. We'll respond within one month. Because we hold so little data, there may be nothing we can link to you, and if so we'll tell you.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use personal data, for example by adding analytics, we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
